Doulton ceramic water filters have been continually manufactured for over 170 years. The first water filters were manufactured in the early 1800’s at Doulton & Co.’s Lambeth works on the banks of the River Thames, London.
Nowadays, Doulton offers a wide range of drinking filter systems, alongside their accredited various grades of candles and cartridges.

3-Stage filtration process
Stage 1
Doulton Sterasyl ceramic provides genuine sub micron filtration. The cartridge reduced fine particulate matter, bacteria, cysts and turbidity. The incorporation of silver locked within the ceramic structure gives enhanced self sterilising properties.
Stage 2
An inner core of activated carbon block removes chlorine and organic compounds.
Stage 3
Ion exchange resin reduces Lead and other heavy metals.

*The Imperial cartridge can be supplied with an additional adaptor cartridge in order that they may fit appropriately within 20” (whole house/high flow) housings/filter systems.

Standard Pleated Polyester Sediment Filter
Pleated polyester cartridges offer a simple, practical means of filtration. Captures and removes solid matter from your water supply. Ease of maintenance, high dirt holding capacities, high flow rates and a low pressure drop provide the lowest cost per litre filtered. Removes particulate matter from your drinking water. Polyspun Sediment cartridges offer a simple means of filtration. They are made from spun bonded polypropylene, the manufacturing technique of these cartridges results in no centre core to the filter, thus not restricting the filter performance. The materials also provide a resilient barrier to bacterial/chemical influence – preventing any build of unwanted waste (e.g. algae). These sediment filters are compatible with most liquids and are highly effective for sediment, rust, sand, silt, and algae removal.
Pleated sediment filters are a cost effective way of removing dirt, rust, algae and other suspended contaminants from the water. They have a large surface area due to the pleats and therefore a low pressure loss through the filter. The filters can be cleaned although this does not clean them back to new, it will however extend their life. 1 micron cartridges and below are too fine to successfully clean, doing so will only marginally extend their life.
